Student Ambassadors
Grades 6 – 11
Almost all ISA students have experienced being “new” somewhere: battling culture shock, nerves, embarrassment and asking that key question “Will I fit in?”
At ISA, we understand this and have developed a special student-led programme to welcome incoming Upper School students (grades 6 – 11) to the ISA community.
The ISA Student Ambassador Programme aims to make the transition to our school easier and comfortable for both new and old ISA students. Each grade level, from sixth to eleventh grade, has five to eight Student Ambassadors who have gone through a selective application process and training, and are of varied nationalities, personalities and gender. Drawing on their own experiences as a new student, our ambassadors are here to answer questions and help new students make a smooth transition into ISA.
Our Student Ambassadors contact new students before the start of school – usually via email or phone. Often, they will meet with new students in an informal setting – such as a cafe or the park – prior to the start of school.
Student Ambassadors also help to facilitate Orientation and help to formally introduce new students to ISA life and a tour of the campus.
